Counseling services are provided to staff and students in McNally High School After an assault outside an Edmonton school on Friday.
At around 2:45 p.m. Friday, police said an assault occurred outside the high school located in the 84th Street and 105th Avenue area.
Alberta Health Services said a teenage boy was taken to hospital in a critical, life-threatening condition. In a later update on Friday, the Edmonton Police Department He said the teen is in stable condition, but critical.
On Monday, Edmonton Public Schools said the department and McNally School continue to collaborate with EPS in its ongoing investigation.
The school continues to provide support to students and staff. Beginning today, the department’s Critical Incident Support Services team will be on site at McNally School and will provide support to staff and students,” read a statement from the school’s department.
“The team is made up of trained professionals who provide advice and comfort in difficult times like these.”

EPS said it had no update on the investigation on Monday, apart from saying it was continuing.
Police did not say if anyone had been arrested or if the suspects had been identified.
