Khatibzadeh said in a tweet on Twitter that the new Zionist crimes against the Palestinians are causing deep anger among Muslims. Khatibzadeh added that the crimes are a reminder that normalization with this apartheid regime only serves to embolden the oppressor to double his cruelty.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman called on all Muslims of the world to stand united behind the Palestinian cause.

At least 158 Palestinians were injured after Israeli forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday. The Palestinians responded to this act of aggression by throwing stones and fireworks.

Friday’s raid was the latest in a series of attacks launched by the Israelis against Palestinians over the past few days.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site for Muslims in the world. The mosque has been desecrated on numerous occasions by Israel with perpetrators of the desecration doing so with impunity.

Israel has been protected from the full force of international law by its loyal ally the United States, which has vetoed several resolutions against Tel Aviv in the UN Security Council.
