The moment was captured by Tanmu Das Karmakar, 22, who observed the bird hitting a frog on a perch in Purpathali, West Bengal, India.
“I suddenly noticed this white-breasted kingfisher hitting something on a perch,” he said.
“On closer examination, I noticed that he had caught a frog and was struggling to devour it.”
